The fact is that the yank blowhards are pretty much scared of everything, way too willing to believe in conspiracies to the point that they avoid anything useful and cause more damage to themselves, and promote and defend their actions against all reason and factual data to the contrary, in typical Karen-esque fashion.
It's gotta suck to be a yank blowhard. Their fear and paranoia have made them intellectually impotent, but emotionally Karen. I was going to sign off "they've got to do better" but it's not realistically feasible anymore - tragically they're already doing the best they can. Sad.
