There are many reasons for the failures:
Cultural differences
Communication difficulties (its hard enough to communicate with a woman when you both speak the same primary language)
A guy who figures he can treat his foreign bride like crap
A gold digger who will split as soon as she gets her citizenship.
An interesting aside, I was told if both spouses are deaf the incidence of divorce is 0%. Perhaps silence truly is golden?
