Yeah... it's all connected through the knee area, or it seems like it is. The IT band issues I've been battling are weird like that too. Where the pain manifests has no obvious connection to the bands, but clearly if they tighten up it pulls other "stuff" out of position and add in a bunch of repetive motion (pedaling) and the result is "ouch". It was starting to kick in on my right leg today. If I start trying to bang long distances again- 40 to 60 miles- I'll HAVE to figure out WTF because it starts to kick in around 25-30 miles just like clockwork.
