Starting splitting oak yesterday. Been years since I had any quantity of oak to process. Let's just say Ye Olde Oaken Rounds don' give up thar treasure without a fight. Shiver me timbers. More like jolt me timbers. However, after 25 years of splitting wood every year, I swear my body has adapted to it. I bet a careful survey of my frame would show asymmetrical skeletal and muscular "stuff" from all the wood I've beat with a maul. Too bad there's no real practical application for having retard-strength at beating things with a BFH.
