Scott,

Our hiking guru MtWarden may be onto something. A couple girls at work have signed me on to do the Rachel Carson 34mile/14hour annual-dawn to dusk-hiking event. Eat your heart out Smoke, sweaty T-shirts, beer and pizza. So, I figured now was a good time to start a structured hiking program. Been at it for perhaps 3 weeks and my knees have had a major change. They never hurt real bad, but when I got up I knew I had them. Now the pain is pretty much gone. No rucking pack, but I'm starting to think serious hiking or walking is more than a little beneficial. Combining it with weights should only be better.

There are only a handful of 70 YO's who finish in the 14hour time frame. Should be interesting.
