Back in the day I went ass-over-teakettle more times than I can count on my MTB. Simply stated, I can't go there now. My neurologist was very clear about the ramifications of another concussion, given the severity (length, depth, and breadth) of symptoms I had. Supposedly structures in my bean are now much more brittle and prone to easy severe re-injury, and also supposedly the late-life prognosis becomes poor when you start stacking major concussions.

Anyway, the cool thing is, this is like the golden age of bikes and there are some really great alternatives that fall between a road bike and a full-on MTB that should work great on the logging roads around here.
