Cyn and I hiked 5-6 miles in the Coast Range looking for a new way to hook into that closed road we'd found that we liked. We found an unofficial trail that I think got is onto it. Either that or it was the next sidehill road up the ridge (we came from above). Steeeeeeep. So steep it was nearly impassable going down. I was wishing I had my walking stick. Cyn forgot her trekking poles and was also kicking herself. Going back up was much better; I'd rather huff up something steep than battle my knees going down!

The reason we are trying to find a way to access this old road is that it's in some neat forest. Mature woods, lots of little cricks; it was logged, but a long time ago. Here's Cyn and the mutts checking out an ancient cedar stump.
