There's word that there's negotiations now that the counter-expensive has failed.
But it's not executive or diplomatic corps doin the negots.
It's the CIA negotiatin with the Russian SRF.

We’re talking and the Russians are shooting. The original offer will never be seen again. Putin no longer believes there is a partner for peace. He knows that any armistice will be used to rearm and rebuild the Ukrainian army to attack again. The most likely end is Russian tanks on the Polish border. So long as there’s a square inch of Ukraine left we’ll try to put arms on it pointing at Russia.
