This mess was preventable and even after launched it could've been over quickly but we pushed on commanding Ukraine to fight. We've destroyed the country and scattered or killed the majority of it's population all for nothing but pandering to the egos of the political class in Washington. Putin has been slow and deliberate in this. He could've marched through Ukraine long before now but has waited I think hoping we would come to our senses and give it up. We haven't. Europe has suffered and our credibility and foreign policy is shot. It's over except for the formal surrender which will come after the last gasp of Zelenskyy.
