In an attempt to slow the free fall of the value of the ruble the Russian Central Bank announces that it is suspending its currency law and will stop purchasing foreign currencies from August 10 , 2023 until the end of this year.
Russian citizens are now barred from buying foreign currencies until the ban is lifted.
