The short of it is that the war comes down to Russias resolve to stay in Ukraine Vs. Our governments resolve to keep funding Ukraine. Once our money/weapons get cutoff Ukraine is done.
Russians have always been in the ethnic Russian areas of Ukraine. Those areas are now once again a part of Russia.
