We need a peace deal but nobody is pushing the sides to the table
That would be the best way for sure.
For us the US taxpayer it’d be great but for Ukraine they won’t be negotiating any land that they ain’t currently holding back from Russia.
For Russia a peace deal makes no sense. They’re bleeding their enemies in NATO dry of arms, ammunition and money and they are having a huge impact on the global commodities market especially oil and gas. The Russians enjoy the benefit of not only bleeding us dry but they are killing Ukrainians which they are committed to and apparently enjoying. They bleed NATO, kill their enemy and capture land they desire so I don’t see anything to encourage them to come to the bargaining table.
It would be best but I think it’s not gonna happen anytime soon.
