The pro-western oligarchs and politicians they support are trying to win and stay in power. Russia is member of BRICS I am not going to support them. When Ukrainians gave up nuclear weapons three countries guaranteed integrity of Ukrainian State. I am disappointed at stance of some on here, but after Afghanistan fiasco and abandonment of Kurds I am not surprised.
But it wasn't really a guarantee. It was just an "assurance" that gullible & greedy Ukrainians wanted to believe. For that reason alone, Ukraine deserves what it is getting.
