Russia is keeping the war in Ukraine smoldering because it's a huge drain of resources to the U.S.A. and is creating a very large incentive for countries around the world to align with BRICS.
"Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake.", and all that.
Our government here in the USA never fails to take the bait.
It kind of looks that way until you come to the realization that the U.S. government doesn't represent the U.S. any more that it represents Ukraine, Russia, or Western Europe.
America and Western Europe's decline isn't due to ineptitude. The U.S. government's inability to include Russia into the trilogy *is* due to ineptitude, however.
