The collective west is too weak for sanctions to work, only about 40 countries support Ukraine. By eliminating inexpensive energy from Russia Americans made Europen products uncompetitive. I am guessing as competitor they set EU back at least a decade or more. Business must be good delivering expensive liquified gas and selling military hardware. If they choose to continue this conflict next cannon fodder will be the Poles. If they decide to negotiate with Putin it will be interesting how they sell the idea to Ukrainians who lost >20% of territory and hundreds of thousands in casualties in exchange for accomplishing nothing.
