It appears that some things got ironed out at the UN Security Council meeting.
My opinion, everybody looked at the situation, realized that it was leading to the serious possibility of a nuclear exchange, and decided that it was time to cool the situation down considerably.
Poland had been the most aggressive nation in Europe regarding the Ukraine situation and it sounds like several Security Council members had a discussion with the Polish representatives.
Everybody except the crazies in D.C. are looking for a solution to the mess. It obviously benefits nobody.
