Snagging may be legal, but it ain't fishing it's killing pure and simple. Some species like paddle-fish can only be caught that way. We snag menhaden for bait by snagging.
It might be allowed for subsistence fishing by residents but to brag about it is pretty low rent. Might as well use hand grenades.
