Stick, it is so fuuuckin' warm here it's not even funny. Every 5-6 years it seems like we have -10F ambient lows in mid March and that is a killer.
But there won't be any frozen ears, noses or tails this calving season. Which is lucky because I think there is now about 30-35 early babies. Another 4-5 last night, pulled one at 2AM this morning and it was another successful birth, quarter pounders and choice steak in couple years!
It is a night bite on the sauger/walleye run and we didn't hardly catch chit yesterday afternoon. Got bored and told my wife to hurry up and make a couple setlines.
This morning's haul in between feeding and opening gates(and a few highly agitated angus cows). Three excellent eating size fish from a total of four hooks.
