If you’re standing in front of the president’s desk looking out the windows behind it, the most prominent thing you’ll see is a tree right outside the window. To the left, as you’re looking, is the Rose Garden. To the right, as you look out, is the Oval Office Patio, which actually runs along the south side of the building to the Chief of Staff’s office at the southwest corner. The view of the patio from the Oval Office is pretty much blocked from view, though, by a line of small evergreens along the east side of the patio
