This is like a page straight out of Dan Brown’s Da Vinci Code. Brown was a good fictional writer conspiracy theorist, but he’s definitely not a historian. The Da Vinci Code is fiction and made lots of money, but it doesn’t represent historical facts. The speculations are pure fantasy.

Mary Magdalene was not at the table at the Last Supper, according to the Holy Bible. Matthew, Mark, and Luke state that the Last Supper was for Jesus and His 12 apostles. Mary Magdalene wasn’t mentioned as being at the table in any of the 4 Gospels. Besides, Leonardo wasn’t stupid and wouldn’t have risked heresy to assume that at that time.

John 13:23 says one of the disciples, the one whom Jesus loved, was reclining close to Jesus. (John referred to himself as the one Jesus loved.)

Leonardo’s painting represents Jesus and His 12 apostles, not any bloodline conspiracy theory.
