Just one example, you say "they tell you what you can eat and what water to drink." The truth is, our agricultural system is unlike anything in the world and we have a dizzying array of high-quality foods to choose from. All it takes is a little knowledge to choose right.

And we have a water supply and sewage system that's a friggin engineering marvel. Open the tap and get clean water, without even thinking about what goes into it.
