Popping back in Sir Ron to say; I think Mr. Bagwell proved that a big lead .458ish slug will kill them as far as you can hit them well and he started his at 1300 fps or so. The buffalo hunters of old would double lung from quite a ways off. Doesn't result in a DRT but was efficient. I would have no qualms about poking one at 250 yards and that limit is my confidence about hitting the spot every time. There was only one Saint Bagwell.
