Looks like store bought Roux to me.



I had Hoppin John (Blackeyed Peas, Bacon, Onion, and Rice) .

I used this recipe (half a batch) cept I added a can of seasoned Collard Greens and gave it a good splash of hot sauce.
It was delicious.....I'll definitely make it again.
