Last night my wife let me cook dinner. She's usually making something from a "diet" cookbook and many times it involves chicken. She knows I need MEAT on occasion. I was happy to be able to fire up the charcoal and cook something that once had hair! smile

Pretty simple stuff, grilled "local" pork chop, grilled broccoli, and mashed taters that came from my garden.

Local is in quotes because it came from the farmers market over the hill 30-40 miles away and was grown over on the other side of that valley, in or nearly in Nevada. But it didn't come from a feed lot in Kansas, Arkansas, or elsewhere.

Tasty enough and trying to help out the small family farmer.

PS, the ratty looking table is from the late '50's, my family dining table growing up. Hard Rock Maple from back east.
