First time down here, dinner is Quail pie. Basically just like chicken pie but with bobwhites instead of yard buzzard. Mmmmm.

I see you are in western Va. years ago I used to hunt in Clifton Forge , Oriskany, Roaring Run area. Great place to hunt deer and bear along withTurkey. A lot of government land along with Westvaco land . I really loved that you could hunt all three at one time and shoot a hen or gobbler with a rifle. When they changed the seasons up , My group, usually 5-8 of us camping and hunting for a week. Sadly quit going-when the big game seasons got all busted up.
