Should I re-barrel it to .260 in an eight twist at about 22" or stick with a .243 about 22"? If sticking with a .243 what twist, contour, length should I run?

Open to anyone else who is familiar with running either caliber as well......

Boxer,
I am interested in this answer myself since my 1-10 twist Winchester is such a joke to you. My understanding is Winchester made the .243 with a 10 twist so it would stabilize the heavier bullets so the rifle could be more effective on deer/lopes than the slower twist of the .244/6mm Remingtons were. I would rather have a rifle that shot 70 grain bullets the best. If I want to kill deer I use a bigger caliber. What twist would you go with in a 6mm? Say maybe a 6mm-06?
