That's a good one. I have a friend who has taken at least two deer a year on his farm every year since 1978 with his Rem 788 in .243. Never lost a deer, never needed a second shot. He's always used Remington factory ammo.

I'm not the biggest fan of the .243 but that record speaks for itself.
