Trumpkins overlook the fact that there is a real good chance that Hillary would be President if Comey hadn't announced a re-opening of the investigation into her emails. Based on that, it's hard to claim he tanked for her.

He had to consider that he was killing his political career with his bizarre news conference back in July when he indicted her in the court of public opinion and let her walk legally.
