Thursday will be interesting, though as stated in this article Comey is unlikely to spend much time on this. However, Trump's response to the below will be fascinating. It gets to the core of WHY collusion is so insidious in this case, plus, why the FLEO & intelligence community is in such a difficult position as they attempt to investigate and eventually prosecute Americans who assisted Russia : the POTUS himself, and/or close associates, are the subject of such investigations... and POTUS is CiC.... technically the intel community is bound to provide such information to, wait for it, the very guy who might be compromised.

I'm still on the fence as to whether POTUS had any knowledge of what was happening at the time, though his continual refusal to admit the possibility of Russian interference is NOT a good look. Suppose it could be explained via pure ego on Trump's part- an unwillingness to concede that he got help in his historic win. We saw that level of delusional ego on full display with InaugurationCrowdGate and PopularVoteGate. His continuing refusal to acknowledge reality is much more puzzling at least in terms of viewing him as an honest and innocent man. As I've said many times... the current reality would be utterly different if he'd just embraced the investigation early on rather than denying and (it appears) obstructing it. Why in the name of all that is right and proper would a man claiming to be a patriotic America-first advocate have such a glaring blind spot even in the face of such overwhelming evidence?! Inquiring minds want to know (most of you do not qualify, so no worries fellas, you can stay in your comfortable lil bubbles a little longer).... and will find out. Thursday will be a pivotal day in terms of the obstruction portion of this bidness but the larger issues are huge and ain't going away.

These latest revelations may also point to a potential bind that top intelligence officials could find themselves in.
"What do you do if you're serving the president, and this is information he has to know," but it relates to a topic in which Trump's and his associates' ties are being examined as well, Carle asked.
Law enforcement and investigative officials typically do not inform the subjects of investigations of their findings. "But in this instance, that is the chain of command," Carle said.
Trump's fuzzy relationship with Russia also adds another wrinkle to fallout after the release of the NSA document, because it raises questions about whether nations with interests that are antithetical to US interests can be considered enemy nations when the president himself has not clearly outlined them as a threat.
"As commander-in-chief of armed forces, the president identifies who constitutes a threat to the US," Finkelstein said. "If, however, there's a clear attack on the US of a military nature, and that includes a cyberattack like this one conducted by Russian military intelligence," then the president's definition of what constitutes an enemy nation may start to carry less weight, Finkelstein added.
