Was planning on cornbread in the CI, but the wife is asking for something called "hot water" cornbread? No idea what it is or how to make it.

We don't fry very often here, but I would be willing to give that a go. Certainly looks different than regular baked Jiffy cornbread that I make. That dude said it was soul food. Interesting...where my wife had it.
