Tip for soaking dried chilies and not meant as a knock to robham.

Soak dried chilies in hot water, filtered if tap taste is questionable, chlorinated, etc.

Then taste the water before using for blending. Many times it will be bitter. If it is then use your pork stock for blending or a combo if the soak water tastes ok.

Strain chilies through fine sieve before using.

You can add another depth of flavor if you slightly roast the dried chilies before soaking.
