Point taken on the number of screws per cap and the latitude in spacing. I should make note that even with the cracks neither scope slipped so the extra screw per side provided insurance in those cases.....

Is that a #1 pictured? I've got a pair on order with Mr. Ingram and can't set my feet on the second of the pair...#1 B&T, #2 B&T, Chuckar, or Yellow Jacket (last with an extra 1/4" on the blade)....the first of the pair is a #1 semi.
