Dan,had a .45 Colt in a Bisley(7.5" barrel) and a BH with a 5.5" barrel.Got rid of the BH because it fouled with lead cast(no gas check) and got the Bisley. The Bisley was to long too carry and soon it left for a .44 SBH. Later I began thinking that I should have used gas checks for the lead cast,but alas,the BH is gone.

I don't care for revolvers with barrels longer than 6" and would not load the .45 real hot BTDT and it is not fun.

Even had a SBH that had a 7.5" barrel ugh!,so I learn the hard way. smile

I like to carry on hip so,hence the liking of short barreled revolvers. I use the .44 and .45 for the Coup De Grace while hunting big game.
