Back from my yearly Idaho lion hunt with U of I friends and some bird hunting. I didn't have a tag this year, but handled dogs and covered ground looking for tracks.

The weather didn't cooperate, but we put a small tom in the tree. Only about 90 pounds. The rancher wanted it dead so we let his son shoot it. Like usual, it was a lot of fun, especially when I climbed up the tree with it to jump it out so the dogs could give chase again. Twice. I do love chasing them hounds.

Then I did some cock hunting near Burley. A fair number of birds around, but most were flushing wayyy out of range, and I missed some of those few that did flush close. I did manage to knock some down though.

I then tried to stick my cock in this, but was shot down instead.

Good times.
