Since it was fathers day and I couldnt be hunting, I figured the next best thing before I went to my daughters for a pool party with the family would be to go shooting.
I loaded up some 82 Gr. Bergers and some 70 gr. Barnes TSX over RL-15. The guy that smithed my Spare Parts rifle had told me a couple weeks ago that he had had good luck with RL-15 and 80 gr + bullets in the223 AI. I typically load test at 100 yds. for velocity/accuracy. Such was the case yesterday.

I figure the 70 gr. Barnes ought to make an impression on some Hill Country hoglets........

Ill play with the OAL to see if it makes any diff. I did not fiddle with the reticle nor make adjustments. I've been pleasantly supprised at how close the POI vs. the POA has been across the spectrum from 36 gr. to 82 gr. It's kinda nice to be able to put 36 gr. Varmint grenades, 50 gr. B/T's, 60 Gr. Partitions or 70 gr. TSX's in the pocket and be able to take advantage of targets of opportunity.

Just fer [bleep] n giggles I let the Tactical 20 take a couple breaths.
