No. The 1911 is the only auto to trust, at least in the form of GI issue. They also serve well to slap people up side the head with.

My period of sensitivity was rather brief, running from somewhere around late September 1960-mid October 1960. Got my hands on a Mod 12 Winchester that fall. As I recall it was longer than me.

I found the Ruger revolvers not in need of much sensitivity. More required by their autos. 5x2" fifty yard groups were neither common or rare from an old 3 screw RSB in my past. A GP100 was close to that, but the front sight was about 4" further from the target so it fared not quite as well.

S&W autos were spiteful bitches back in my youth...the Model 59 comes to mind.
