I played golf when I was a kid. Unlike God, I could hit the chitt out of a 1 or 2 iron. I never managed to use a driver in such a way that I did not slice the ball sufficiently that it threatened to come back and land on the tee. It drove my dad nutz. I didn't see the problem myself since I could out drive him, 1 iron v. driver. Ultimately there was much I never grasped about the game, but eventually I found a sport that was less successful as a spectator sport than golf.

Racing sail boats. That's right, I did not stutter. The very first sailboat I ever crewed on was a NYYC 12 meter trial boat named Soliloquy. The second was a Trans-Pac winner named Blackfin. It's neat chitt but the pay sucks.
