We cull the real ringy ones.

The 'wild born' bull calf is totally tame. He does not does give a chit about people. The yearling that Wintered out there is slightly feral, she's always watching.

Had a cow that spent most of the winter out in the hills before we could get her in. Too wild to do much with. By February, she decided people weren't so bad! Since then, she's been tame as can be.

The old biatch made hunting that pasture interesting while she was alone in November. She was really wary; I'd stick nothing but my eyeballs up over a ridge looking for a deer, and there she'd be, staring right at me from a quarter mile away.
