Camp report from west central MN: My daughter had the morning of a dozen lifetimes at her stand. She had 15, yes 15 bucks running around her stand. 4 of them were really nice bucks and when she finally got one to stop and stay still for a minute she ventilated a really nice 8 pointer. Meanwhile, twin son #1, in his first ever deer hunting morning, sat all of an hour and a half before a broken up 5X4 came along at 33 yards. He promptly double lunged it and we had 2 bucks before 9 am. Twin son #2 didnt get a chance at a buck, but shot a doe that evening. My dad also shot a nice 8 that night for quite the opening day. Quite a special day for my family. 2 first deer and a first big buck for the daughter in one day.
