Ryan, I think a 38-55 would be a neat Eastern whitetail cartridge. As I get older I find those obsolete cartridges get more interesting to me. The gun safe currently holds a Savage 99 in .303 Savage, a Winchester 88 in .284 Win and a Browning BLR in .358 Win. The .284 and the .358 aren't as old as I am but they sure qualify as obsolete. Some might say I do also!
