I used to work at a greenhouse while in HS and College, the customers used to get mad when we told them to wait until Mothers Day to put plants in the ground.
You really wern't safe until Memorial Day, and even then sometimes we go frost.
June is a perfect month...not too hot, not too cold, and I get birfday presents.
