We were thinking of trying to whack a doe for the youth season coming up tomorrow. We still have a pile of stuff to do in WI for the season there. We decided to hit the range instead tomorrow for the day. I need to get some shooting out to 400 if possible. I put a new scope on the .280. Leupold VX3i, 3.5-10 CDS. This will be my first crack with turning dials. I've looked over a few different ballistics tables to at least get some sort of starting point.

I also have a .243 that will get some time. That has a Burris Fullfield II scope on it with their BDS system. I have shot that to 400, which isn't easy with my crappy eyesight.

Jack would rather go on a little grouse hunting trip than shoot deer in October since he's not chased birds yet this year either. We'll chase them around a bit at some point this weekend.

Camp is where you make it.
