I had today and the rest of the week off because if I don't use the vacation, I lose it.

Spent the day on the 4 wheeler exercising the dogs and looking for sheds since the snow has pretty much vanished.

I checked out a small island of woods in the middle of a field that no one hunts but I have seen a nice buck hanging by in the summer. (He's always gone by the time bow season starts it seems)

Anyway, I pull up to this patch and its nothing but brush and twisted and/or downed trees. A real mess. I walked it and holy crap is there deer sign in there. Rubs, scrapes and poop all over this little island of trees. Most hunters won't look at it twice. I'll be sitting in the middle of it this fall!
