That's cool, I've never been before either.

A quick update for the chickenbuckers that have been camping with us before and for those that have had the pleasure of paddling and portaging the 17 foot 1972 aluminum smokercraft canoe. Otherwise known as "the horrible thing that somehow floats"

I sold it!! It's gone!!

We went to the cabin on Easter Sunday to get it because we put it in a local shopper paper (which came out on sunday) and we got a call on it right away.

Now we have to replace it.

I'm considering a grumman 17' standard that I found used.

What i really want is a 17' canoe by Souris river canoes called a quetico 17. They offer in different material layups and colors, I like the kevlar in this "le tigre" patern. it weighs about 45 pounds.

Man that would be nice!! They are so nice too, very nice looking, quiet.. and expensive frown
