Dave, my cousins in SD swear by Ranch Hand bumpers and grill guards. I have seen the results first hand myself. Splattered deer and no damage to the truck.
They lookk like good ones The thing with grill gaurds: Go big or ignore them! A cheap one just causes more headaches ( and damage ) then it's worth. A true solid , crash worthy one. Will off balance some trucks unless it's counter balanced And then it eats fuel on the highway.
Like anything else, ya pays your money and you takes your choice.
