We had 60's opening weekend, 2" of rain Monday and then 10" of snow Tuesday night. Did I mention the wolves. They took down a doe Friday night about 200 yards from camp, we found the head picked clean.

On the plus side we had the oldest [13] and youngest [5] granddaughters in camp for 6 days. A good time was had by all.

We celebrated the 13 year old birthday in camp as we had done when she was 1,2,3 and 4.

I hear this more and more, it’s pretty interesting. I was always led to believe that the wolves had the upper hand in the dead of the winter when we had significant snow pack. What I’m hearing these days would lend me to believe the wolves eat deer all the time and many of these areas in NE MN will never have decent deer, or moose’s number ever again until we get some proper wolf management. Do folks agree?
