I think I'll play around with powder charges in the 62.5 - 63 area.

Settle in on something in that range, set the scope for the load and just go hunting.

(It's a hunting rifle, I have to keep reminding myself of this)

Even still... I think MOA should be achievable if it's going to be a "keeper"

Even my model 88 in .308 with a 46 year old 3-9 vari x II strapped in a in weaver tip away mount will do an inch at 100 yds.

If I can do it with that old lever action with it's horrid trigger and antique optics... Well it puts things into prospective a little, sets the bar for mildly accurized modern bolt actions with newer glass... ya know?
