That's cool Stan. I love that kind of lore. Out east in Pennsylvania, many camps have a Deer Sinch hanging on the wall. A Deer Sinch is a piece of wrought iron about 2 1/2 ft. long, with a barbed point on one end, and a circle or loop on the other end. The story goes, that you take this out on the night before the opener, find a buck, stuff the point up his arse and hook the loop over a fence post. Come back the next morning, and it's a sinch to get a deer. Very bad ju-ju to not have the sinch in camp for deer season.
