Dusty has been treating for cancer for a week now. (our uncle dusty)
He was just recently diagnosed.
He says he feels good, and he truly does display a positive attitude.
He also told me it was ok to share this information, he said he'd just as soon be open about it as he doesn't care to hide it. It was just tonight that I asked him and got the ok to share this news here.
He has cancer in the top of one lung, in the lymph nodes and in 3 spots on the brain.
He has been doing radiation treatment on the brain for 7 days, he has one week left of radiation then the plan is to switch to chemo for the lung and lymph nodes.
That is the roadmap right now and that is as far as we can see ahead on the map.
Dusty is in excellent shape, he exersises regularly with lengthy walks and he is just generally active overall.
He is strong physically, strong mentally and seemingly fearless.
I really don't know what else to say on the matter. I wanted to get that out there and I wanted to invite your prayers and supportful words as Dusty checks in here quite regularly.
I'll leave it at that for now, other than the fact that I'd like to express my best wishes and prayers for a man that is dear to me.
