Well, now I have different issue. The vent isn't the dryer vent. I don't know what else it could be. I can hear it as I'm typing this and it's driving me nuts.
Do you have bathroom in the basement? exhaust vent for the fart fan?
Yeah, there is a bathroom down there. This isn't that type of vent. It has a cover just like you'd use for a dryer, it opens when the air blows it and when the air pressure stops, the vent closes. It's a louverd type. It is broken a bit, possibly chewed? So that is why I assumed that was the entrance spot. It is about 8-10' off the ground, but level with my deck and a short crawl for a squirell type to run across the siding. I'll have to do a better search of the soffit/fascia when I get home.
